During the gastronomy contest in EOI I was given brief information about the ingredients. I need to ask about a proper recipe because my humus tasted differently than the one made by a Syrian.


Do you think having a recipe is useful?

That's the first coconut I've opened without any tools, using only a knife, because I had to get the water out of it.

Pumpkin season lasts for good :) I must admit that I did not know that there are so many dishes in which pumpkin can be used, like soups, pates, roasted pumpkin for dinner, but also sweet cakes or jam.



Which pumpkin dish do you like the most and why? What is your favourite recipe? Would you like to share it?

I can surprise you, but in the south of Spain people do not have heating, because the temperature during the night rarely decrease 10 degrees and during the day it is usually above 20, so they/we, because I also don't have a heater, open windows to warm houses.


Sometimes, as I get up very early and it is still cold I prepare warm food to warm myself up from inside. This time I made a triple chocolate pudding, since I used a chocolate pudding powder, I added high-percentage dark chocolate and dark cocoa. I used soy milk, to make it sweeter, if you want you can add honey or sugar. A slice of avocado to break taste was just enough for me.


Cold one is also good, because chocolate and cocoa have a lot of fat so it has a creamy consistency.

My grandparents come from the eastern Europe, hence at Christmas time at our table always appears kutia - poppy seed, barley, dried fruits and honey.

As I previously mentioned I started buying fruits and vegetables on a market, this time was a pineapple day and everybody wanted me to buy one. After refusing couple of times I had say yes, to a very nice salesman and I bought a delicious, juicy and very sweet pineapple. I didn't have to add anything more than mint, because it was so good.


I brutally peeled it, I need to learn how to do it properly.

A lot of vegetables with small amount of rice. Artichokes, tomatoes, lentils, olives spiced with fresh ginger, garlic and huge amount of turmeric powder.

Do you know that for some Spaniards lentils seem to be the food from the worst nightmares, because in their childhood they have to eat it as a healthy meal. I do remember disgusting, tasteless spinach that I have to eat in the kindergarten. Do you have similar memories?

We ate a pumpkin soup recently. I added a chilly pepper to my portion, because I like spicy food :)
Chris preferred a milder version.

Homemade pizza on a fast and thin yeast dough with artichokes, sun-dried and fresh tomatoes, capers, 4 cheeses - mozzarella, rullo de cabra - goat cheese,  curado de oveja - long ripened sheep's milk and feta, with fresh basil from our garden.

Today another vegetarian dish - lentils, spinach, onion and tofu instead of meat on my favourite, used pan ;)

On Saturday, like almost every weekend we went put cycling, after reaching top of Reina we made a very fast and delicious meal - pasta with spinach, feta and olives, garnished with sunflower seeds.
